Recycle your devices
Before you recycle your devices, reset them to their factory settings and clear your data to protect your personal information. Check with your manufacturer for data removal instructions.
Recycle your device by mail
You can request shipping at no additional charge. Our third-party recycling partner will send a postage-paid shipping label to your inbox. To recycle by mail:
- Ask for a shipping label.
- US: Request a shipping label from RLGA.
- Rest of the world: Request a shipping label from Re-Teck.
- Optional: Check with your manufacturer for data removal instructions.
- Place your device in a sturdy box.
- Attach the label to the box.
- Follow the shipping instructions.
- You can also drop the package off at a collection site near you.
- Your device will be recycled responsibly.
Tip: Results depend on the local coverage in your area and information availability in: Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish.

Check for businesses that offer recycling drop-off services with keywords like "electronics recycling near me" in Search or Google Maps.

Re-Teck is Google's recycling partner in India. To recycle your device:
- Request a prepaid shipping label through the Re-Teck website.
- Follow the shipping instructions.
- Ship the label with no charge.

Packaging and hardware (WEEE) sorting information (marking and labeling)Package sorting information
Packaging sorting information is required in France to help communicate to the consumer that packaging must be sorted separately from normal trash, and may require separation by packaging type. Packaging should be sorted for recovery per your local recycling authority's guidance.
Required packaging sorting information is provided directly on the product packaging.* Look for a marking similar to below (some content may vary):
Note: If “+NOTICE” is present on the marking, it refers to documents such as product guides. If documents are no longer needed, they should be recycled as paper.

Electronic device (WEEE) sorting information
Electronic device sorting information typically is provided in the Safety and Warranty Guide that accompanies your electronic device.*
Look for a marking similar to below (some content may vary):
Sorting information, or “information des consommateurs sur la règle de tri”, is required in France to communicate to the consumer that electronic devices (including associated cables, batteries and electronic accessories) must be sorted separately from normal trash, and should be deposited for recovery at appropriate collection locations. Collection locations may include the retail location where your device was purchased, or other deposit centers for electronics (www.quefairedemesdechets.fr). You may also wish to review the Google recycling program.

Mail your devices to be recycledGoogle offers a no cost mail-back program through its partner, Reverse Logistics Group Americas (RLGA), for Google's customers. To use the mail-back program, follow the steps below:
- Request a shipping label from RLGA.
- After you receive the label, safely pack your product and attach the label.
- Send your eligible electronic devices for responsible recycling.
