Even if it was awarded before August 2025, you can’t extend the expiration date of Google Store credit. The expiration date is set at the time of issuance and can’t be extended.

I made a purchase assuming that my Google Store points will expire. Can I request a refund?

You can return most items you buy from the Google Store within 15 calendar days after the day you receive them. However, there are no special accommodations related to this particular change.

There are currently no alert systems on the website. Expiration reminder emails are sent out before expiration, which is the same system as before the update.
