Pixel Care+ is Google's insurance protection program. It is available in Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This program covers Pixel phones, watches, tablets, and Fitbit devices. Benefits include unlimited accidental damage or unlimited damage claims (varies by country), no cost screen and battery repairs (eligible devices only), and priority access to support from Google Pixel experts. Benefits vary by plan.

Plan types
In the US, Pixel Care+ is available only through both Google Store and Google Fi. You can choose from different plan options:

The Pixel Care+ monthly coverage plan is billed monthly for 60 months or until cancelled. With the Pixel Care+ 2-year plan, you pay once up front for 24 months of coverage.

Pixel Care+ provides device coverage including:
- Unlimited accidental damage from handling (drops, cracks and spills)

- Only available for front screen and back glass of most Pixel phones and batteries that retain less than 80% of original charge capacity.
- Exclusions: Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel Tablets, Pixel Watches, and Fitbits are not repairable. Inner Fold screens and other excluded devices may only be eligible for repair or replacement at the standard deductible cost.
- Unlimited $0 claims for post-warranty malfunctions.
- Replacement devices typically ship the next day, subject to availability.

Good working condition requirement
To enroll in Pixel Care+ your device must be fully functioning and free from defects at the time of purchase. By certifying your device is in good working condition, you confirm it does not have any of the following pre-existing issues:
- Screen or back glass damage: Any cracks or shattered glass.
- Liquid damage: Any signs of internal moisture or liquid-related malfunctions.
- Mechanical or electrical failure: Any pre-existing issues with buttons, charging ports, or internal components.
- Battery degradation: While Pixel Care+ covers battery replacements for batteries that retain less than 80% capacity, the battery must not be currently swollen or causing device failure at the time of enrollment.
Important: Any damage or malfunction that occurred before your Pixel Care+ coverage began is considered a pre-existing condition and is not eligible for a repair or replacement claim.

Within 60 days of purchasing a new device from the Google Store:
Through the management page:
- Go to the Pixel Care+ management page.
- Locate the device order you want to add Pixel Care+ to.
- Click Review and buy.
- Once Pixel Care+ is purchased, a new order will be generated with a separate email confirmation.
Through the eligibility page:
- Go to the Pixel Care+ eligibility page.
- Enter the IMEI or serial number of the device you purchased.
- If your device is eligible for Pixel Care+, you can select your desired plan.
- Complete the enrollment.

In Japan, Pixel Care+ is available through Google Store. You can choose from the different plan options:

The Pixel Care+ monthly coverage plan is billed monthly for 60 months or until cancelled. With the Pixel Care+ 2-year plan, you pay once up front for 24 months of coverage.

What Pixel Care+ coverage offers
Pixel Care+ provides device coverage that includes:
- Unlimited accidental damage from handling (drops, cracks and spills).
- ¥0 screen and battery repairs.
- Only available for front screen and back glass of most Pixel phones and batteries that retain less than 80% of original charge capacity.
- Exclusions: The inner fold screen isn’t covered by no cost repair services.
- Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel Tablets, and Pixel Watches aren't repairable.
- Unlimited ¥0 claims for post-warranty malfunctions.
- Replacement devices typically ship the next business day, subject to availability.
- Priority support from Pixel experts.
Optional Loss and Theft coverage
- If you buy Pixel Care+ with Loss and Theft, your eligible item is also covered if it's lost or stolen.
- In a 12-month period, you can file up to 2 claims for Loss and Theft.
- “Find Hub” must be enabled on your device at the time it's lost or stolen. Additionally, Find Hub must remain enabled throughout the entire duration of the claims process.
- You must also file a police report for the lost or stolen device.
- After you reach that limit, you can still file unlimited accidental damage claims and use your remaining Pixel Care+ benefits.

Pixel Care+ is available through Google Store. You can choose from the different plan options:
- Monthly (up to 60 months)

The Pixel Care+ monthly coverage plan is billed monthly for 60 months or until cancelled. With the Pixel Care+ 2-year plan, you pay once up front for 24 months of coverage.
Tip: Coverage is worldwide but repairs and replacements can only be provided in the country of purchase. We recommend that you check that there is a specified repair shop near you here. If you’re unable to find a convenient repair shop, you will need to select a replacement at point of claim and pay the appropriate excess.

*Pixel Care + benefits are separate from and in addition to any rights which UK consumers may have to a £0 repair, or replacement by the seller of defective goods or goods which do not conform to the contract for sale. The Pixel Care+ out-of-warranty breakdown cover only applies once these warranties have expired. As a reminder, your Google Limited Hardware Warranty protects your device in respect of breakdown for two years after you bought your device.
Pixel Care + benefits
Pixel Care+ provides device coverage that includes:
- Unlimited damage claims, subject to paying the applicable excess for each claim and excluding cosmetic damage - where the device works as normal, except where you are claiming for a cracked screen.
- £0 in-store screen and battery repairs.
- £0 in-store repairs are only available for front screen and back glass of most Pixel phones and only for batteries that retain less than 80% of original charge capacity.
- Exclusions: Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel Tablets, Pixel Watches, and Fitbits aren't repairable. All inner fold screens aren’t covered by £0 repair services.
- £0 excess fee repairs are in-store only at one of our specified repair centers. We recommend that you check that there is a specified repair shop near you here. If you’re unable to find a convenient repair shop, you will need to select a replacement at point of claim and pay the appropriate excess. Repairs are only available on select devices and issues. We will replace at the appropriate excess if repair is not available.
- Unlimited £0 claims for out-of-warranty breakdowns (monthly plan only)
- Replacement devices typically ship the next business day, subject to availability, with delivery on average 3 days from dispatch. Any replacement device you receive may be refurbished using original Google parts. In the event we can’t send you a same model replacement, we’ll send you a different make, model or colour device with comparable features and functionality.
- Priority access to support from Pixel experts.
Optional Loss and Theft coverage
- If you buy Pixel Care+ with Loss and Theft, your eligible item is also covered if it's lost or stolen.
- In a 12-month period, you can file up to 3 claims for Loss and Theft.
- After you reach that limit, you can still file unlimited damage claims and use your remaining Pixel Care+ benefits.

Buy Pixel Care+ from the Google StoreWhen you buy a new device from the Google Store, add the Pixel Care+ plan to your cart during checkout.
Within 60 days of purchasing a new device from the Google Store, you can add Pixel Care+ either through the Pixel Care+ management page or eligibility page.
Through the management page:
- Go to the Pixel Care+ management page.
- Locate the device order you want to add Pixel Care+ to.
- Click Review and buy.
- Once Pixel Care+ is purchased, a new order will be generated with a separate email confirmation.
Through the eligibility page:
- Go to the Pixel Care+ eligibility page.
- Enter the IMEI or serial number of the device you purchased.
- If your device is eligible for Pixel Care+, you can select your desired plan.
- Complete the enrollment.
Your coverage period begins on the enrollment date or device shipment date, whichever is later.
When you buy a new device from My Pixel app, you can add the Pixel Care+ plan to your cart at checkout.
Within 60 days of purchasing a new device from the Google Store:
- You can buy Pixel Care+ through the My Pixel app throughout your 60-day eligibility window through the “Support" tab or the “Home" tab.
- These direct you to the Pixel Care+ web purchase flow.
Your coverage period begins on the enrollment date or device shipment date, whichever is later.

Transferability
Pixel Care+ plans are non-transferable. This means your plan is tied to the specific device it was bought for and can’t be transferred to a new owner or moved to another device or email address, without repurchase. If you trade your device in, please also ensure you cancel the insurance plan.
