You can get credit when you trade in your old device through Google Store when you buy a new Pixel device. Trade-in through Google Store is available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Trade-ins can only be added during checkout. Trade-ins can’t be added to a Google Store order after you checkout.
Add a trade-in to your Pixel device purchase
- Go to the Google Store.
- Choose a Pixel device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to choose your new devices:
- Colour
- Storage space, if applicable
- Operator, if applicable
- Select Get estimate to enter your trade-in details.
- To check the estimated value for the trade-in, provide your old device’s details.
- If you don't find your device's manufacturer, model or storage size on the list, it's not eligible for trade in.
- You can’t change your trade-in device’s information after checkout.
- The initial estimated value is based on the information that you provide. The final trade-in value is based on inspection after your old device has been received. Any differences between the information you provide and your device's actual condition may impact the device's final trade-in value.
- Before you select 'Add trade-in', if the value changes after inspection and you'd like your device returned to you, untick Accept the new value if it changes after inspection.
- To add your trade-in device, select Add trade-in.
- The estimate is valid for 30 days from when you receive your new phone
- Choose your Pixel device coverage plan or select Skip.
- To add the new device to your basket, select Add to basket.
- Continue shopping or select Go to basket.
- To complete your order and get ready to trade in your device, choose your payment method.
- Select Proceed to Checkout.
- Once your order is confirmed, you'll get a confirmation email with further trade-in instructions.
- If you add a trade-in during checkout and don’t get a trade-in confirmation email within 24 hours, please contact our support team.
