If you trade in your old device when you buy a new device from the Google Store, you can get credit back.
You can trade in your old device in these countries and regions:
- Australia
- Austria
- Belgium
- Canada
- France
- Germany
- India
- Ireland
- Italy
- Japan
- The Netherlands
- Spain
- The United Kingdom
- The United States
You can only trade in your device during checkout. You can't add a trade-in after you buy your new device.
How to trade in your old device when you buy a new one
Important: To comply with the Secondhand Articles Dealer Act, include your age, occupation, legal name and address. Information that you provide here must match your government-issued ID and will be shared with PCS Wireless. If your government-issued ID uses kanji, enter it in kanji. If the form doesn't match your ID, you won't receive your kit. You must be at least 18 years of age to start the trade-in process.
- Go to the Google Store.
- Choose the Pixel device that you want.
- Select Buy.
- Pick the colour and storage space that you want for your new device:
- Colour
- Storage space, if applicable
- To tell us about your old device, select Get estimate.
- Tell us about your device to check the estimated value for the trade-in.
- If you don't find your device's manufacturer, model or storage size on the list, you can't trade it in.
- After you buy the new device, you can't change what you told us about your old device.
- The first estimated value is based on what you told us about your device and may include extra money because of special deals.
- The final trade-in value will be based on how your old device looks when we inspect it.
- Any differences between the information that you provide and your device's actual model and condition may impact the device's final trade-in value.
- To confirm your identity, select Continue.
- To receive a trade-in kit to send your old item, you'll have to verify your identity.
- Before you can continue, you need to tick the box that says 'I understand that this trade-in programme is conducted by PCS Wireless and agree to its Terms and Conditions.'
- Important: If the final value of your trade-in device is less than 75% of the estimated value, PCS will return the device to you.
- To add your old device, select Add to trade-in.
- To receive the estimated trade-in value as provided, you must send your trade-in device to PCS within 30 days of receiving the new device, provided that the new device has not been returned during that time.
- To add the new device to your shopping basket, select Add to basket.
- Keep shopping or select Go to basket.
- To complete your order and get ready to trade in your device, choose your payment method.
- Select Proceed to checkout.
- If you have access to instant trade-in, your total trade-in value is displayed at the checkout page. This amount is applied as an upfront discount to your total order.
- Once your order is confirmed, you'll get a confirmation email with further trade-in instructions.
- If you trade in your old device and don't get an email within 24 hours, contact Google Store support.
