Starting November 9, 2022, Stadia will attempt to automatically process refunds for all purchases of games, add-on content and subscriptions fees other than Stadia Pro made through the Stadia store. We ask for your patience as we work through each transaction and that you refrain from contacting Customer Support as they will not be able to expedite your refund during this time. For more information, check the Announcement FAQ.

What is Stadia Pro?

4K, HDR and 5.1 surround sound

Stadia players can experience smooth, up to 60 FPS gameplay at up to 1080p resolution with stereo sound on TVs, PCs and selected mobile devices. With an active Stadia Pro subscription, you'll also get:

  • Up to 4K resolution on TVs with Chromecast Ultra or a supported 4K-compatible TV or streaming device.
  • Up to 4K resolution on compatible PCs.
  • Beautiful high dynamic range (HDR) visuals on supported TVs.
  • 5.1 surround sound on 5.1-compatible TVs and devices connected to surround sound systems.

Check the minimum system requirements for up to 4K gameplay.

Note: If your system is compatible with 5.1 surround sound but the '5.1' icon still doesn't appear, go into your Stadia options menu and choose the 'Automatic' or '5.1 surround sound' setting. If you're still experiencing issues with 5.1 surround sound playback, check if your system supports the uncompressed 5.1 PCM audio format. On LG® webOS smart TVs, choose the '5.1 surround sound (Dolby Digital)' setting. You can force Stadia to stream stereo audio by going into your Stadia options menu and choosing the 'Stereo (off)' setting.
