Earn achievements as you play

When you play games on Stadia, you can earn special awards called achievements. You unlock achievements when you complete specific goals in a game, like finishing a level or defeating a certain number of enemies. Achievements let you and your friends track your game accomplishments, and are tied to your account.

You can earn achievements in any game that supports them. You can also view your earned achievements at stadia.com or on a TV using Chromecast Ultra.

Tip: Not all games support achievements, but if you've been playing Stadia since launch, you may have already earned some in games that support them.

Earn and view your achievements

When you're playing a game and earn an achievement, a message will appear at the top of your screen. When it appears, you can view the details of the achievement on your screen:

  • If you're using a Stadia Controller, press the Stadia button Stadia icon.
  • If you're using a computer keyboard, press Shift + Tab.

You'll see the details of the achievement, including the date you unlocked it. If you unlock an achievement but don't see the message, you can still view your most recent achievements.

Note: When you view your achievements, your game will continue to run in the background.
