Play Stadia on Chrome (

You can play Stadia on the web with the latest version of Google Chrome.

Start a game on

  1. To claim or to buy a game from the Stadia store on your mobile device, use the Stadia app Stadia icon.
  2. To launch Stadia on the web using Google Chrome, visit .
  3. Use your mouse on to find a game to play.
  4. To start playing a game in your library, or to start a game you were previously playing, click Play Stadia Play button.

Exit a game on

To exit a game you're playing on :

  1. Open the "exit game" menu.
    • On your computer keyboard, press and hold the Esc key.
    • On your Stadia Controller, press and hold the Stadia button Stadia button. If you're using a supported third-party controller, press the Home button. 
  2. Select Exit Game.

Set up a controller

  1. If your Stadia Controller is connected to Chromecast, go to the home screen, then press and hold the Stadia button Stadia button on the home screen and select Unlink and turn off controller.
  2. Use a USB cable to plug your controller into your computer.
    • Note: If you are using a 3rd party controller, you can also connect wirelessly via Bluetooth. Wireless play using a Stadia Controller on the web is coming soon.
  3. Turn on your controller.
  4. Using Google Chrome, sign into your account at and launch a game.

Set up a mouse and keyboard

To use a mouse and keyboard, just plug them in or connect them wirelessly via Bluetooth.

If you're using Windows, you may want to disable mouse acceleration by turning off "Enhance pointer precision" in Windows mouse settings. If you're using Chrome OS, you can turn off mouse acceleration in Settings Settings and then Device and then Mouse and touchpad.

Listen to audio and use voice chat

You can use a headset to listen to audio or use voice chat on

  • To use voice chat, enable your Chrome mic.
  • If you're using a third-party controller connected with Bluetooth, plug your headset directly into your computer. If you plug your headset into your controller, voice chat might not work.

Open the in-game Stadia menu

While you're playing a game, you can open the Stadia menu to access your friends list and other social features:

  • On your Stadia Controller, press the Stadia button Stadia button.
  • On your keyboard, press Shift + Tab.
  • On a third-party controller, press the Home button.

Play local multiplayer games on (Chrome) 

  • To play a multiplayer game, players can use a mouse/keyboard combination and up to 4 controllers connected to one computer.
  • Players can connect each controller to the computer with a USB cable. You will need one USB port per controller.
    • Note: If you are using third-party controllers, you can also connect them to your computer with Bluetooth.

Switch from to your TV

You can switch from to the TV where you set up your Chromecast Ultra.

  1. On your Stadia Controller, press the Stadia button Stadia button.
  2. Open Stadia on your TV.
  3. Input the linking code if needed and then select Play Stadia Play button.

Note: You can also cast your Chrome browser screen to your TV and play with a Stadia Controller. In the top right corner of your Chrome browser, select More More and then Cast.

4K, HDR, and 5.1 Surround Sound

4K gameplay is supported on Windows computers and Chromebooks with VP9 hardware decoding, a 4K display, and data usage options set to Best visual quality.

You can view the achievements you've earned in Stadia games in Google Chrome and on TV with Chromecast Ultra. In Google Chrome, you can also track how many achievements you've earned for each game, and view the achievements of other players who have made them visible to you.
