Starting November 9, 2022, Stadia will attempt to automatically process refunds for all purchases of games, add-on content and subscriptions fees other than Stadia Pro made through the Stadia store. We ask for your patience as we work through each transaction and that you refrain from contacting Customer Support as they will not be able to expedite your refund during this time. For more information, check the Announcement FAQ.

Publisher access to your friends list

When you play a game on Stadia, you can choose to let game publishers access your friends list to enable in-game multiplayer functionality.

You can turn sharing on or off for games from specific publishers:

In the Stadia app

  1. On your mobile device, open the Stadia app Stadia icon.
  2. At the top right, tap your avatar.
  3. Tap Privacy and then Scroll down to 'Games using your friends list'.
  4. Tap the slider next to each publisher's name to turn sharing on or off.

On stadia.com

  1. Sign in to your account on stadia.com.
  2. At the top right, click your avatar and then Stadia settings.
  3. Click Privacy and then Scroll down to 'Games using your friends list'.
  4. Click the slider next to each publisher's name to turn sharing on or off.

When you turn on sharing for specific publishers, you can:

  • Access your Stadia friends list when you play specific publishers' games.
  • Invite your Stadia friends to play publishers' games with you.
Note: When you turn on access for a specific publisher, the publisher will only be able to access your friends' Stadia Names.
