Set up your Stadia Controller

Before you begin

  • To set up your Stadia Controller, you'll need to install the Stadia app on your Android device (Android version 6.0 or greater).
  • To play games on Stadia using a TV, you need a Chromecast Ultra, a supported Android TV device, or a Google TV device such as Chromecast with Google TV. Make sure that your device is set up and connected to a Wi-Fi network or Ethernet.
    • Note: Some devices have an Ethernet port on their power adapter. If possible, use an Ethernet cable to plug your device into your Wi-Fi router for the best performance. You can also purchase an adapter for Chromecast with Google TV if you don't have one.
  • To play games on Stadia using your laptop or PC, you'll need to install the latest version of Google Chrome on your computer.
  • Your Stadia Controller's battery must be charged.
