You don't need a code to sign up for Stadia, but if you have a Pro Pass code, you can redeem it for a Stadia Pro trial subscription when you create an account. Some codes can also be redeemed after you create your account.

You may have received a code with a hardware purchase or promotion.
How do I redeem a code?
If you have a valid invite code, you can redeem it when you create your Stadia account:
On stadia.com
- On a computer using Google Chrome, go to stadia.google.com/setup.
- Select the Google Account that you want to sign up with.
- Select Yes for any of the questions that appear
select Confirm.
- Select the text box
type your code into the box
select Next.
- If the code is not valid, a message will appear with more information. You can still create your account if you don't have a valid code. Just select Back to return to the previous step and choose No for all of the questions.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create your Stadia account.
On your mobile device
- On your mobile device, open the latest version of the Stadia app
.
- Sign in with the Google Account that you want to use.
- Enter the invite code that was sent to you.
- Tap Next.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create your Stadia account.
Redeem a code on an existing account
If you have a Stadia account, you can redeem a valid code on stadia.com to extend your existing Stadia Pro subscription or start a trial subscription if you aren't a Pro subscriber yet.
To redeem a code on your account:
- Sign in to your account at stadia.com.
- At the top right, select your avatar
Stadia settings.
- At the left, select Redeem code.
- Enter your code into the text box and select Redeem.
- If the code is valid, a confirmation will appear.
Note: If the code cannot be redeemed, a message will appear with an explanation. For example, you might not be able to redeem a code if it is invalid or if you have a supervised account that requires family group manager approval to redeem a code.
Rules and restrictions
- Each unique code can only be redeemed once.
- You can only redeem one type of Stadia Pro code on the same account. For example:
- If you have already redeemed a code that came with a hardware bundle, you won't be able to redeem a different code that also came with a hardware bundle. However, you would still be able to redeem a promotional code on the account, such as a Pro Pass.
- If you have a Stadia Pro trial subscription and have never redeemed a code on your account, you can redeem one (1) code that came with a hardware bundle and also one (1) promotional code, such as a Pro Pass.
- If you're a supervised member of a family group and attempt to redeem a code, a request will be sent to the family group manager. The family group manager will need to approve the request before the code is redeemed on the account.
- If you cancel your Stadia Pro subscription and then redeem a valid code on your account, your subscription will be extended to a new cancellation date.
- If your Stadia Pro subscription payment is still processing, you may not be able to redeem a code until the payment is finished processing.
