Where is Stadia available?
Stadia is available to those based in the following countries:

  • Belgium

  • Canada

  • Denmark

  • Finland

  • France

  • Germany

  • Ireland

  • Italy

  • Netherlands

  • Norway

  • Spain

  • Sweden

  • United Kingdom

  • United States (except Guam, Hawaii, and the U.S. Virgin Islands)


Why can't I sign up for Stadia even though I am based in a country where Stadia is available?
At the time you are attempting to sign up for Stadia, we determine your Stadia country based on a variety of factors, such as billing addresses you have previously added to Google Payments, your Google Family group as well as your current location. If your Stadia country is not one of the countries listed above, you may not be able to sign up. 

If you are based in one of the countries listed above and are unable to sign up, please contact Stadia customer support and we may be able to assist you.

Tip: If you are traveling and trying to sign up while you are outside your home country try setting up a Google Payments profile before signing up for Stadia.

Why can't I play when I am traveling?

Game availability may vary depending on countries where publishers choose to make their games available. In addition, if you are traveling outside a country where Stadia is  available, games may be unavailable due to game publisher restrictions, your internet connection or your distance from one of our data centers.

The Stadia Pro subscription sign up page requires a credit card with an address in a different country - how can I complete my signup?

You must use a form of payment with a valid billing address in the country in which you are based at the time of account creation.

Why do I see my store in a different currency?

The currency in which you see prices in the Stadia store is determined by your Stadia country, which is established when you sign up for Stadia.

I moved. How can I change my country? 

To change your Stadia country, please create a new payment profile in Google Payments for the country you have relocated to by adding a valid form of payment, and then contact Stadia customer support. Your Stadia country can only be changed 2 times per year.

I moved. What happens to my games?

Games you purchased prior to relocating to a new country  will continue to be in your library. However, due to licensing restrictions, you may not be able to access every game in your library from your new country.. After you move, you may update your Stadia country by contacting customer support. Once your Stadia country has been updated, you will be able to purchase content that is available in your new country.

Why can’t I buy a game in my country?

Game availability may vary depending on the countries in which game publishers choose to make their games available. While Stadia strives to make all content available in all countries where Stadia is available, certain games may not be available in your region.

Why does my game look different from my friends’?

Some games may have different content depending on where they are sold or where they are played. If your friends bought a game in a different country, their game content may be different. 

I am getting “The item you were attempting to purchase could not be found.” error when I try to make a purchase in the Stadia app on Android?

This can happen when there is a mismatch in your Google Play country and Stadia country. 

To resolve this, please create a new payment profile in Google Payments for the country you use for Google Play. You can do this by adding a valid form of payment. Stadia customer support will then be able to assist you in changing your Stadia country.

Alternatively, you can request a change to your Google Play country to align your Google Play country with your Stadia country.
