Follow these steps to sign into Skillshopand gain access to a wide range of self-paced courses.

Before you begin

To sign up for Skillshop, you'll need to create an account using your Google Account first. 

Here's some important information to keep in mind when deciding which email address to sign up with:

  • Regularly used email address: Use an email address that you check often so that you won't miss out on communications from Skillshop, such as news, special invitations, promotions, and more.
  • Email associated with a Google Account: This can be a Gmail address or another email address. The email address should ideally be the same address you use to access Google products. If you use a non-Gmail address, make sure that the email address is linked to your Google Account.


Once you’ve created your Google account, you’ll be able to create and login to Skillshop with your Google credentials. When you sign in to Skillshop for the first time, you'll be able to follow the instructions below to update and share your profile. 

Steps for updating your profile

  1. Sign in to Skillshop.
  2. Click your profile icon at the top right of the page. Go to My Profile then click Edit Profile.Image shows where the user can select to edit their profile from the My Profile page.
  3. Select your country from the drop-down list.
  4. Add your company name. Adding your company name will allow your company to access your earned awards and certificates through reports.
  5. Add your company email.
  6. Select whether you want to get emails from Skillshop. If you choose to get emails from Skillshop, you can get information about recommended courses, surveys, and promotions.
  7. Choose the Google products you want to learn more about. Click Update to confirm your selection.
  8. Update your timezone.
  9. Select your preferred language.
  10. Enter your Recovery email so you can recover your account in case you lose access to the email you used to set up your account.
    1. You’ll receive an email to confirm your email address. Once it’s confirmed, you can stay connected to Skillshop no matter where you work.
  11. Click Save.
Note: To change your name in Skillshop, you’ll need to edit your Google profile. (Learn more)

Steps to share your profile 

You can share your awards and certifications by making your profile public.

  1. Navigate to your My Profile page.
  2. Turn the Public toggle to "On."
    1. You may see a warning message stating that this action will make your profile and information public, and that other users will be able to find it even if you won’t directly share it with them. 
  3. Click the Confirm button.Image shows where the public profile toggle is on the My Profile page.

Once you set your profile to Public, you'll be able to copy and paste your profile page URL to share with others. Doing this gives others in Skillshop access to your profile, awards, and certifications.
