Hello,

We are using GSuite and saw following warnings when converting from classic site to new site.

Page depth greater than five detected. Your site has more than five levels of subpages. In the converted site, pages nested more than five levels will be moved up to the fifth level. No pages will be lost.

File cabinet detected. Your site contains a file cabinet. Files stored in the file cabinet will be added to a new Google Drive folder. The new folder will be named after the converted site and will be embedded in the new draft. Links in the file cabinet will be placed on the page above the embedded folder.

Page attachments detected. Your site contains page attachments. Files attached to a page will be added to a Google Drive folder named after the converted site. In the new site, attachments will be embedded in a Google Drive folder at the bottom of the page.

After conversion, the new site is created but none of the pages show the file attachments. I see them under My Drive. As per https://support.google.com/sites/thread/15216780?hl=en &  https://sites.google.com/view/bobs-attached-file/, I have changed the main drive folder & page folder permissions to "Anyone in this group with this link can edit" & "People in organization can search for this file". It still has not helped.

Anyone run into the similar issue? Thank you for your help in advance.

Thank you for reply.

Since the site is created within GSuite account, the link will not be accessible publicly.

I created a new classic site with just 2 pages under Home as shown below, uploaded a few files to both pages.
Home
Home -> Page 1
Home -> Page 2

When converting I only saw following warning:
Page attachments detected. Your site contains page attachments. Files attached to a page will be added to a Google Drive folder named after the converted site. In the new site, attachments will be embedded in a Google Drive folder at the bottom of the page.

After conversion, I do not see the files on the pages. I see the files under My Drive folder. The permissions on the folder is "Anyone in this group can find and edit".

Any idea what could be the issue?

In my test attached file were put into a drive folder. If your folder does not appear in a page you may have to insert it manually.

Thank you for reply.

The conversion worked fine for the attachments in one of our sites but not working automatically for others even though they were very basic sites.

The main site we are trying to convert has about 950 pages and almost 80% of the site has attachments. So, it would be tedious to add drive files for each page. Not sure if others ran into this or not.
