Invite Google Groups to a site
If you would like to share your sites with a Google group:
- From the More Actions drop-down menu, select Share this site.
- Add the email address for the Google Group (for instance, firstname.lastname@example.org) with which you'd like to share the site, and select the level of access you'd like the members of the group to have. (If you set the group to Can view, anyone in the group can look at the site. If you set the group to Can edit, anyone in the group can change the look and content of the site. If you set the group to Is owner, anyone in the group can change the look and feel of the site as well as make administrative changes, such as deleting the site or adding new owners.)
- The group will be sent an automated message when you add them unless you uncheck the box next to Send email notifications. If you choose to send the group a notification, you can add a personalized message. Simply write your message in the box below where you added the email address. You can also opt to have the invitation sent to you as well by checking the box next to Send a copy to myself.
- Click "Share."
If members are added to the group, they'll have access to the site at the level of access you specified. If members leave the group, they'll revert to whatever level you specified for the public or for their specific email address.
