Reporting for social campaigns

Social reporting in Google Analytics

If you link your Search Ads 360 advertiser to Google Analytics, Analytics reports can attribute activity on your site to your Search Ads 360 social engine accounts. The data is available in a variety of reports depending on which Google products you've linked together.

This section describes reporting options if you've set up your accounts as follows:

To see activity attributed to individual Facebook campaigns, ad groups, and ads that appear in Search Ads 360, use one of the following reports:

You can also see acquisitions and conversions from your Search Ads 360 social engine accounts in the following Analytics 360 reports:

  • Acquisition > Campaign Manager 360 reports
    All acquisitions from Search Ads 360 Facebook campaigns are attributed to a campaign named "DoubleClick Social"
  • Acquisition > All Traffic > Source/Medium report
    In the Source/Medium dimension, Facebook acquisitions are attributed to facebook/cpc.
    If you add Campaigns as secondary dimension, you can see Facebook acquisitions attributed to the individual Facebook campaigns that appear in Search Ads 360.

    You may also see a few Facebook acquisitions attributed to Campaign Manager 360/cpm and to a campaign named DoubleClick Social. This can occur if there are errors in your landing page URLs or other issues that prevent the Google click ID from being recorded.

Campaign Manager 360 integrated with Analytics 360

This section describes reporting options if you've set up your accounts as follows:

Recommended action

To see activity attributed to individual Facebook campaigns, ad groups, and ads, link Search Ads 360 to Analytics 360 and integrate Analytics 360 with Search Ads 360. Then you can view the reports described in this section.

Available reports

If you've only integrated Analytics 360 with Campaign Manager 360, acquisitions and conversions from your Search Ads 360 social engine accounts appear in the following reports:

  • Acquisition > Campaign Manager 360 reports: all acquisitions from Search Ads 360 Facebook campaigns are attributed to a campaign named "DoubleClick Social".
  • Acquisition > All Traffic > Source/Medium report: acquisitions from Search Ads 360 Facebook campaigns appear in two places:
    • In the Source/Medium dimension, Facebook acquisitions are attributed to Campaign Manager 360/cpm.
      If you add Campaigns as secondary dimension, all Search Ads 360 Facebook acquisitions are attributed to  a campaign named DoubleClick Social.
