Create and manage social engine accounts

Switch to a different PMD

Search Ads 360 can only communicate with some social engines through a Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD). For other types of social engines, using a PMD is optional, but the PMD may help to add Search Ads 360 tracking URLs and import social performance and engagement metrics.

If you specified a PMD when you created a social engine account in Search Ads 360, but switch to another supported PMD, follow these steps in Search Ads 360:

  1. Navigate to the engine account.

Steps for navigating to an engine account
    1. In the left navigation panel, click All accounts.
What if the left navigation pane isn't visible?

    2. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    3. In the "Agency" list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    4. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser that contains the engine account.

    5. In the "Account" list, click on the engine account.

    6. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

Search Ads 360 displays the engine account page.

  2. Click the account settings icon ,  which appears above the tabs.

The settings panel for the engine account appears.

  3. In the Preferred marketing developer list, select the new PMD you're using.

Don't see your PMD in the list?
The list contains all supported PMDs

  4. Click Save.

  5. If you're importing performance and engagement metrics, follow these steps to switch the import process over to the new PMD:

    1. Create a new sFTP endpoint unless you already have one set up for the new PMD.
Each PMD needs its own sFTP endpoint.

    2. Use the PMD to schedule the delivery of performance and engagement metrics. Find instructions for your specific PMD in the Getting Started guide.
