Reporting for social campaigns

Use Campaign Manager 360 Report Builder to report on social metrics

  1. From the top menu bar in Search Ads 360, click (apps icon) and select Reporting & Attribution. (Reporting & Attribution appears on the Search Ads 360 menu only if your Google Account has permission to access Campaign Manager 360.)

    Click Search, then select Reporting and Attribution.
  2. On the Reporting & Attribution page, click Report Builder from the top navigation bar.

  3. Click New Report > Standard > Paid Social.

    Don't see the Paid Social template?

    In Search Ads 360, make sure you've created at least one social engine account.

    In Campaign Manager 360, make sure your user role includes permission to View Search Ads 360 data.

  4. Optionally add the following filters:
    • Advertiser: your advertiser name.  Without this filter, you'll see metrics for all advertisers associated with the current Campaign Manager 360 agency.
    • Site (DCM): DoubleClick Social: engine type. This filter limits the report to just metrics from social engines onboarded to Search Ads 360. Without this filter, the report may contain rows for metrics from the entire Campaign Manager 360 advertiser (the rows with search metrics will be labelled not set).
  5. Optionally add or remove metrics and dimensions. See the description of the default metrics and dimensions in the Paid Social report.

  6. (Optional) To view paid social data attributed to specific Floodlight activities, add the activities and activity metrics.

  7. (Optional) Schedule your report to run on a recurring basis.

  8. Click Run Now or Save.

In the Paid Social report, Campaign Manager 360 reports clicks and impressions from placements that are not paid social {not set}.

Paid social metrics and dimensions

Metrics

Paid Social Clicks

The number of times users clicked on a Search Ads 360 social ad during the specified date range, as reported by social engine cost metrics imported into Search Ads 360.

Paid Social Cost

The total fees for clicks on Search Ads 360 social ads during the specified date range, as reported by social engine cost metrics imported into Search Ads 360.

Paid Social Impressions

The number of times a Search Ads 360 social ad was shown, as reported by social engine cost metrics imported into Search Ads 360.

Clicks

The number of times users clicked on a Search Ads 360 social ad during the specified date range, as reported by the Campaign Manager 360 click tracker.

Impressions

The number of times a Search Ad 360 social ad was shown, as reported by the Campaign Manager 360 impression pixel.

View-through conversions

Conversions that are attributed to an ad that was displayed but not clicked on.

Click-through conversions

All conversions in the reporting period that are attributed to a click on an ad.

Total conversions

All conversions in the reporting period, including both click-through and view-through conversions.

 

Dimensions

Paid Social Ad

The name of a Search Ads 360 social ad, as specified in the social engine.

Paid Social Ad ID

The ID Search Ads 360 generated for a social ad.

Paid Social Ad Group

The name of a Search Ads 360 social ad group, as specified in the social engine.

Paid Social Ad Group ID

The ID Search Ads 360 generated for a social ad group.

Paid Social Advertiser

The name of a Search Ads 360 advertiser.

Paid Social Ad Advertiser ID

The ID Search Ads 360 generated for an advertiser.

Paid Social Agency

The name of a Search Ads 360 agency.

Paid Social Agency ID

The ID of a Search Ads 360 agency.

Paid Social Campaign

The name of a Search Ads 360 social campaign, as specified in the social engine.

Paid Social Campaign ID

The ID Search Ads 360 generated for a social campaign. 

Paid Social Engine Account

The name of a Search Ads 360 social engine account.

Paid Social Engine Account ID

The ID Search Ads 360 generated for a social engine account.

Paid Social External Ad ID

The ID the social engine generated for a social ad.

Paid Social External Ad Group ID

The ID the social engine generated for a social ad group.

Paid Social External Campaign ID

The ID the social engine generated for the Search Ads 360 social campaign.
