Create and apply URL templates

Use a bulksheet to create, edit, or remove templates in manual campaigns and shopping campaigns

A URL template is a property (or setting) of an item in Search Ads 360. So to create, edit, or remove a URL template, you'll need to edit the item the template belongs to.

For example, to create a URL template for a campaign:

  1. Download a bulksheet that contains the columns for editing the campaign settings.
  2. Specify a template in the campaign's URL template column.
  3. Upload the bulksheet.
  4. Confirm that the template is applied correctly.

Search Ads 360 will set the campaign's URL template, and all ad groups and keywords in the campaign will inherit the URL template (unless they directly specify their own template).

Create, edit, or remove URL templates for engine accounts, campaigns, and other Search Ads 360 items

  1. Navigate to an advertiser or lower scope, such as an engine account that supports Search Ads 360 URL templates.

    3. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser.

    4. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

  3. Optionally use a filter to display only the items for which you want to add, edit, or remove URL templates.
  4. Click the download icon Download icon  and download an editable bulksheet.
    The downloaded bulksheet contains:

    • Columns for editing each item's settings, including the URL template column.
  5. Open the downloaded bulksheet. and do the following in each row:
    1. Leave the Action column set to edit.
    2. In the URL template column,  do one of the following:
      • To create new URL template, enter properties for the template.
The item will no longer inherit any Search Ads 360 URL template that may be specified further up the hierarchy.
      • To edit an existing URL template, change the template properties.
      • To remove a URL template that has been applied directly to the item (as opposed to inherited), enter remove_content.
The item will now inherit any Search Ads 360 URL template that may be specified further up the hierarchy.
