Ad templates column

Shows the names of the ad templates that an inventory rule will update.

When you create an inventory rule in a manual campaign or specify ad copy in an inventory keyword campaign, you select one or more ad templates for the inventory rule to update. This column shows the names of the ad templates that the inventory rule will update.

The Show ad templates link displays the templates that the rule updates by navigating to the Ad templates tab for the engine account and filtering the tab by template name.

If no names are listed in this column and the row is displaying the Update ad copy rule, then you haven't assigned any ad templates to the rule and the rule won't generate any ads.

Add this column to a report

1. Navigate to a Google Ads engine account or lower scope.

2. Click the Inventory ▼ tab and select Inventory rules.

3. If the column isn't already in the reporting table:

   1. Click the Columns button above the performance summary graph.

   2. In the Search for columns box, type the column name.

   3. Click + next to the column name in the Available columns list.

   4. Click Apply.
