Change a max CPC bid

Set max CPC for a biddable item

Manually set max CPC or inherit from ad group

You can manually set a bid for a specific keyword or product group if you want to override the ad group's max CPC setting. If the biddable item is in a bid strategy, your manual setting is only temporary.

  1. Navigate to an engine account or lower scope (such as a specific campaign or ad group).

Steps for navigating to an engine account
    1. In the left navigation panel, click All accounts.
What if the left navigation pane isn't visible?

    2. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    3. In the "Agency" list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    4. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser that contains the engine account.

    5. In the "Account" list, click on the engine account.

    6. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

Search Ads 360 displays the engine account page.

  2. Click the Keywords tab or click the Targets▼ tab, and then click Product group.

  3. Do either of the following:

    • To manually set the bid for the item, in the Max CPC column, click the amount and update it in the text box that appears. You can change it to a specific amount, or you can increase or decrease the current bid by a certain percentage or amount.

    • To allow the biddable item to inherit max CPC from the ad group, in the Max CPC column, remove the amount and leave the field empty.

The Max CPC column will display the max CPC setting that's inherited from the ad group.

  4. Click Save.
