Bid strategy health column

The Bid strategy health column helps you diagnose and fix issues that prevent your bid strategy from performing optimally. To use the column, add it to the reporting table for bid strategies or for a biddable item.

Add this column to a report

1. Do one of the following:

   • Navigate to an advertiser. Then in the left navigation panel, click Bid strategies.

   • Navigate to an advertiser or lower scope. Then click the Keywords tab.

   • Navigate to a Shopping campaign or an ad group in a Shopping campaign. Then click the Targets▼ tab and click Product groups.

2. Select a time range.

3. Above the performance summary graph, click the Columns button.

4. In the Search for columns box, type the column name.

5. Click + next to the column name to add the column to the Selected columns list.

6. Click Apply.

The column displays slightly different information depending on the reporting table that you’re viewing:

• Bid strategies reporting table - The bid strategy health column displays one of the following messages:
  • Limited by max bid
  • Limited by min bid
  • Limited by position
  • Limited by max CPA
  • Limited by min ROAS
  • Significant spend from new keyword temporary positions
  • Limited by lack of offline conversion upload

  You can hover over the message for details. If the bid strategy is limited by a constraint, such as max bid, you can click the message and Search Ads 360 will take you to the place in the UI where you can address the issue.

  
• The reporting table for a biddable item - The bid strategy health column describes the action you need to take to address the issue.

For example, if your bid strategy specifies a maximum bid that will always be too low for some of your keywords, the Bid strategy health column on the bid strategy page will display Limited by max bid. If you click the message, Search Ads 360 will display the keywords page and filter the view so that it contains only the constrained keywords. Then, the message in the Bid strategy health column will tell you the action required to fix the issue.

The column displays --- (dashes) if there are no performance issues with your bid strategy.
