Set up the Screenwise Meter extension on your computer

Install the browser extension or add-on

Installing the Screenwise Meter is similar to installing most browser extensions and add-ons.

Chrome

1. Open your Google account Web & App Activity controls.
2. Make sure the Include Chrome browsing history... checkbox is checked.
3. Go to the Screenwise browser extension page and click to install.
4. Click Add to Chrome.
5. Review and click Add extension to accept the permissions.
6. Enter the email that you used to create your panelist account and click Next.
7. Follow the steps to sign in.
8. At the top of Chrome, click the Screenwise Meter icon and choose the panelist who's currently using Chrome.

Firefox

1. Go to the Screenwise browser extension page and click to install.
2. Click Continue to Installation.
3. Review and click Add to accept the permissions.
4. Enter the email that you used to create your panelist account and click Next.
5. At the top of Firefox, click the Screenwise Meter icon and choose the panelist who's currently using Firefox.

Edge

1. Go to the Screenwise browser extension page and click to install.
2. Click Get.
3. Review and click Add Extension to accept the permissions.
4. Enter the email that you used to create your panelist account and click Next.
5. At the top of Edge, click the Screenwise Meter icon and choose the panelist who's currently using Edge.

Safari

1. Go to the Screenwise browser extension page and click to install.
2. Download and install the Screenwise Extension app from the App Store.
3. Open the Screenwise app.
4. Click Open Extensions to see the Safari Extensions.
5. Find the check box next to Screenwise Meter. Make sure it’s checked to enable the extension.
6. Click Always Allow on Every Website
7. Follow the steps to sign in.
8. At the top of Safari, click the Screenwise Meter icon and choose the panelist who’s currently using Safari.

Fix the Safari extension for macOS

1. Go to the Screenwise browser extension page.
2. Click Install the extension.
3. To enable the extension:
   1. Open the Safari browser.
   2. At the top left, click Safari.

      

   3. In the drop down menu, click Settings.
   4. Click Extensions.
   5. Check the box next to “Screenwise Meter.”

      

      • Once you check the box, the extension is enabled.

        

4. If Always Allow on Every Website... is shown, click on it. Then, click Always Allow on Every Website again.

   

5. Click Edit Websites.

   

6. Make sure that all websites and “For other websites” are marked as “Allow.”

   

7. At the top, next to the address bar, click the Extensions icon.

   

8. Sign in to your account.

After you complete these steps, you’re all set and should earn rewards.

Fix the Chrome, Edge, or Firefox extension setup

To set up the Chrome, Edge, or Firefox extension to track your activity:

1. If the extension isn’t installed, go to the Screenwise browser extension page.
2. Click Install the Extension.
3. Click the Extensions icon Manage Extensions.

   

4. Turn on Screenwise Meter.

   

5. Click the Screenwise Meter icon and make sure “Guest” isn’t selected.
