Create and edit sitelink assets

This article applies to Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Yahoo! JAPAN Ads accounts in the new Search Ads 360.

To add more links to your ads, create sitelink assets (formerly, "extensions"). Sitelink assets can take people to specific pages on your site—your store hours, a specific product, or more. When someone clicks or taps on your links, they jump right to what they want. Sitelinks can encourage meaningful clicks, and can generate new business for you.

Before you begin

Learn more about how sitelink assets work:

Sitelinks at the ad group level

Before you create sitelink assets at the ad group level, keep the following in mind:

Google Ads, Yahoo! JAPAN Ads

  • By default, an ad group uses the sitelink assets of the account or campaign it's part of.
  • If you don’t want a sitelink asset at the account level to appear in an eligible campaign or ad group, you can remove it from the account and add other sitelink assets you prefer at the campaign or ad group level instead.

Microsoft Advertising

You can set sitelinks at the campaign level or ad group level. Specifying sitelinks at the ad group level will override the sitelinks associated with the campaign.
