Set up the commerce media spend monitor dashboard

To get a glimpse of your account’s spend over time, create a commerce media spend monitor dashboard. You can create this dashboard by creating the reports below.

You will need to create the commerce media spend monitor dashboard before you can create and add any report.

Create the commerce media spend monitor dashboard

  1. Sign in to your Search Ads 360 account.
  2. Click the reports icon in the navigation menu.
  3. Select Dashboards.
  4. Click the plus button to create a new dashboard.
  5. Click the pencil icon to name your dashboard.

Create an 'Account spend' report

  1. After creating the commerce media spend monitor dashboard, click one of the tiles and select Report from the options.
  2. Select New report from the drop-down menu.
  3. Go to the Table drop-down and select Pie chart under 'Pie'.
  4. To create an 'Account spend' report, you’ll need to:
    1. Navigate to the 'All accounts' filter at the top, select the account that you want to compare the spend of and click Save.
    2. In the 'Search metrics and dimensions' field, search for and add the following metrics or dimensions:
      • Account
      • Cost (Converted currency)
  5. Click the pencil icon to name your report.
  6. At the top right-hand corner, click Add to dashboard.

Create a 'Sub-manager spend over time' report

  1. After creating the commerce media spend monitor dashboard, click one of the tiles and select Report from the options.
  2. Select New report from the drop-down menu.
  3. Go to the Table drop-down and select a Line chart under 'Time series'.
  4. To create a 'Sub-manager spend over time' report, you’ll need to:
    1. Navigate to the 'All accounts' filter at the top, select the sub-manager accounts that you want to compare the spend of and click Save.
    2. Next, search for Cost (Converted currency) in the 'Search metrics and dimensions' field and click on the result to add it.
  5. Click the pencil icon to name your report.
  6. At the top right-hand corner, click Add to dashboard.

Create an 'Account spend over time' report

  1. After creating the commerce media spend monitor dashboard, click one of the tiles and select Report from the options.
  2. Select New report from the drop-down menu.
  3. Go to the Table drop-down and select a Line chart under 'Time series'.
  4. To create an 'Account spend over time' report, you’ll need to:
    1. Navigate to the 'Accounts' filter at the top, select the sub-manager account that you want to compare the spend of and click Save.
    2. In the 'Search metrics and dimensions' field, search for and add the following metrics or dimensions:
      • Account
      • Cost (Converted currency)
  5. Click the pencil icon to name your report.
  6. At the top right-hand corner, click Add to dashboard.

Create a 'Zero spend accounts' report

  1. After creating the commerce media spend monitor dashboard, click one of the tiles and select Report from the options.
  2. Select New report from the drop-down menu.
  3. To create a 'Zero spend accounts report', you’ll need to:
    1. In the 'Search metrics and dimensions' field, search for and add the following metrics or dimensions to your table:
      • Account
      • Sub-manager
      • Associate manager
      • Brand
      • Cost (Converted currency)
  4. Click the pencil icon to name your report.
  5. At the top right-hand corner, click Add to dashboard.

Create a 'Campaign breakdown' report

  1. After creating the commerce media spend monitor dashboard, click one of the tiles and select Report from the options.
  2. Select New report from the drop-down menu.
  3. To create a 'Campaign breakdown' report, you’ll need to:
    1. In the 'Search metrics and dimensions' field, search for and add the following metrics to your table:
      • Account
      • Campaign
      • Campaign type
      • Campaign ID
      • Campaign status
      • Cost (Converted currency)
  4. Click the pencil icon to name your report.
  5. At the top right-hand corner, click Add to dashboard.

Create a 'Campaign spend over time' report

  1. After creating the commerce media spend monitor dashboard, click one of the tiles and select Report from the options.
  2. Select New report from the drop-down menu.
  3. Go to the Table drop-down and select a Line chart under 'Time series'.
  4. To create a 'Campaign spend over time' report, you’ll need to:
    1. In the 'Search metrics and dimensions' field, search for and add the following metrics or dimensions:
      • Campaign
      • Campaign type
      • Cost (Converted currency)
  5. Click the pencil icon to name your report.
  6. At the top right-hand corner, click Add to dashboard.

After you've added all the above reports to your dashboard, select Save or Save as to complete your commerce media spend monitor dashboard.


How to view predefined dashboards

You can access predefined dashboards with pre-populated data. Follow the steps below to access these dashboards.

  1. Sign in to your Search Ads 360 account.
  2. Click the Reports icon in the navigation menu.
  3. From the Reports drop-down, select Dashboards.
  4. The top of the 'Dashboard' page will display options for predefined CMN dashboard views.
  5. Select a predefined dashboard view. Data will auto-populate based on your selection.
