Use negative keywords for a Google Ads Shopping campaign

While Google Ads Shopping campaigns don't use keywords to target your ads, you can use negative keywords to help prevent your Shopping ads from appearing when you don't want them to.

 Instructions

  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.
  2. On the page menu, click Keywords
  3. In the sub-menu, click Negative keywords.
  4. Click the plus button  and select an account type from the dropdown.
  5. On the “Negative keywords” page, select Add negative keywords or create new list or Use negative keyword list
  6. In the "Add to" dropdown, select Campaign or Ad group.
  7. Click the Select link to search for and select your campaign or ad group.
  8. In the text box, enter or paste one negative keyword per line.
  9. (Optional) Select the checkbox for Save to new or existing list, then enter a name to create a new list or select an existing list (when applicable).
  10. Click Save.
