Undo a bulk action

When making bulk changes, it’s possible that you may need to revert them. This article is about how to use the 'undo' feature to revert bulk changes.

Before you begin

  • 'Undo' creates a new bulk change that attempts to revert the changes made. For example, if you perform 2 consecutive bulk edits on your campaign budgets and then you want to undo the first bulk edit, the budget will revert to the value before the first bulk change (regardless of the changes made in the second bulk edit). It will be processed and logged in the same way as any bulk change.
  • If something can’t be reverted (deleted items, for example), you’ll receive an error as you would with any bulk operation. Learn more about bulk edits.
  • If the 'Undo' button isn’t present in the 'Action or next steps' column, that action either can’t be reverted or an undo operation has already been performed.
  • Once you perform an undo operation (whether or not the undo is successful), the option will no longer be available.

Instructions

To see a list of all bulk actions (edits, rules and uploads) that you can undo:

  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.

  2. Click the tools and settings icon ''.
    • Optional. To view rules and actions for specific categories (for example, campaigns or ad groups), select the item in the page menu first.
  3. Select All bulk actions.
  4. Select Undo from the 'Actions or next steps' column for the bulk action that you’d like to undo.
Note: If no changes have been made previously, the option to undo won’t be available.
