Understand how reports work in dashboards

  • When you create a new report in a dashboard, the report can only be viewed and edited from that dashboard.
  • When you edit an existing report in a dashboard, editing the copied report doesn't change the report in report editor and edits made in the original report don't show in your dashboard. Learn more about Creating reports in report editor.
  • If the owner of the dashboard doesn’t have access to filters or custom columns used in the report or scorecards, you need to save as a new dashboard. This will duplicate the dashboard for the owner of the filters or columns.
