Authorise a Baidu client account

When you link or edit a Baidu client account in Search Ads 360, you’ll need to authorise Search Ads 360 to access your external Baidu account.

You may be required to reauthorise Search Ads 360 if changes are made to the Baidu user account that was used to authorise Search Ads 360. For example:

  • Someone changed the password for the external Baidu user account.
  • Someone made other changes to the external Baidu user account's security settings
  • Someone added or removed external Baidu accounts, or made other structural changes.

If Search Ads 360 loses authorisation to manage your external Baidu account, you'll be prompted to reauthorise in Search Ads 360.

Reauthorise Search Ads 360 to access your Baidu account

  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.
  2. Navigate to your Baidu account.
  3. From the left page menu, click Settings, then click Account settings in the expanded menu.
  4. In the 'Authorisation' section, click the Reauthorise account button.
  5. Sign in to the Baidu account in the pop-up window. Then select the client account username, and grant Search Ads 360 permission to access and update information in your Baidu account.

When you finish, you can run a sync to see if the authorisation succeeded.

If you click the Reauthorise account button again, Search Ads 360 will request authorisation again from your Baidu account.

You will need to authorise each Baidu client account.

Verify the authorisation status of your Baidu client account

To verify that Search Ads 360 is authorised to access your Baidu client account:

  3. Navigate to your Baidu client account.
  4. From the left page menu, click Show more, then click Sync history in the expanded menu.
The table displays time, status and results for all recent sync operations.
  5. In Search Ads 360, navigate to the sub-manager.
  6. From the left page menu, click Settings, then click Sub-account settings in the expanded menu.
The 'Sync status' column indicates the last time the sync ran and its result. The status is updated after every sync.

Do I need to authorise all of my existing accounts now?

Due to changes to the Baidu authentication API, you will need to reauthorise your existing Baidu client accounts by 31 March 2023. After 31 March 2023, your accounts won't sync or traffic until the accounts are authorised.
