Remove a data exclusion event

Remove a data exclusion event from Search Ads 360
  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.
  2. On the navigation panel, click the tools and settings icon Google Ads | tools [Icon].
  3. Under “Shared library”, click Bid strategies.
  4. In the left navigation panel, click Advanced controls.
  5. Click on the Data exclusions tab.
  6. Select the checkbox next to a data exclusion event. You can select multiple checkboxes to edit more than one data exclusion event.
  7. Click Remove in the blue bar above the table.
  8. Confirm if you want to permanently remove the data exclusion event. Removing data exclusions may change how your bid strategies perform. Before you remove an exclusion, confirm that the conversion data from this period is accurate.
  9. Click Remove.

Remove a data exclusion event from selected Search Ads 360 bid strategies

  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.
  2. On the toolbar, click the tools and settings icon Google Ads | tools [Icon].
  3. Under “Shared library”, click on Bid strategies.
  4. In the left navigation panel, click Advanced controls.
  5. Click on the Data exclusions tab.
  6. Select the checkbox next to a data exclusion event. You can select multiple checkboxes to edit more than one data exclusion event.
  7. Click Edit, and then go to “Scope”.
  8. Select the option “Specific campaigns”.
  9. Click on the pencil icon Edit.
  10. Do one of the following to remove the event from a bid strategy:
    • In the list of selected bid strategies on the right, click the remove icon .
    • In the list on the left, deselect the bid strategy's checkbox.
  11. Click Done.

The next time Search Ads 360 evaluates bids and bid adjustments, the data from the event is included in the bid optimization and conversion goal calculations. Bid strategies evaluate bids approximately four times a day.

Reactivate a data exclusion event

  1. Sign in to your new Search Ads 360.
  2. On the toolbar, click the tools and settings icon Google Ads | tools [Icon].
  3. Under “Shared library”, click on Bid strategies.
  4. In the left navigation panel, click on Advanced controls.
  5. Click on the Data exclusions tab.
  6. Click on the 3-dot icon 3 dot icon then click on Show removed.
  7. The data exclusion event is restored and applied to selected bid strategies and conversion goals.
  8. (Optional) Repeat the previous step for each event that you want to reactivate. The next time Search Ads 360 evaluates bids and bid adjustments for the applied campaigns, ad groups, and product groups, the data from the event is excluded from the bid optimization and conversion goal calculations.
