Why make your profile public?
When you make your profile public, you can share your accomplishments with others.
Your public profile includes:
- Your first and last name
- The year your Google Skills account was created
- Your earned badges
- Your profile photo (if you have one associated with your Google account)
Make your profile public
Your profile is made private by default. Follow these steps if you wish to make it public:
- Go to the Google Skills Settings page.
- Under the Public visibility section, check the box for Make profile public. If you change your mind about sharing your profile, you can make it private again by unchecking the box.
- This generates a shareable link to your public profile. You can share this link on social media or your resume or CV. You may recover this link at any time from your profile page.
Share badges
You can also share individual badges on social media.
To share a badge:
- Make sure your profile is public and you're logged in.
- Go to the Google Skills Dashboard.
- On the Progress section, click Badges.
- Scroll to the badge you want to share.
- Click the share icon.
- Choose your social network (LinkedIn, Facebook, or Twitter).
- A pre-populated message will appear. You can edit this message if you want.
- Click Save and Share.
Note: You must follow these steps for each social network where you want to share your badge.
