Qwiklabs on corporate computers with company firewalls

This article explains how to configure your corporate firewall to enable access to Qwiklabs and its resources.

If you're using a company computer with a firewall, you might experience difficulties accessing certain Qwiklabs features. You may be able to sign in, start a lab, and access the Google Cloud Console, but further actions might be blocked.

To resolve this, ensure your firewall allows access to the following ports:

  • Ports 80 and 443: Required for Qwiklabs and the Google Cloud Console.
  • Port 22: Used for SSH connections, including Cloud Shell.
  • Port 3389: Used for RDP connections to Windows virtual machines.
  • Port 3306: Used to access MySQL databases.

Contact your IT or technical support department to request access to these ports. Once the necessary ports are open, you should be able to use Qwiklabs without restrictions.
