Take a lab without incognito mode

Using an Incognito or private browser window is the best way to run a lab. This prevents any conflicts between your personal account and your temporary student account, which may incur extra charges to your personal account. However, if your organization does not allow private browsing, you can still complete labs on your regular browser.

  1. Click Start to begin your lab.

  2. Right click Open Google Cloud Console and select Open Link in New Tab. You may also choose to open a new window if you would like.

  3. Ensure you are logging in with the assigned Student Account or use the credentials provided in the Lab.
  4. Click Understood on the Welcome screen.
  5. Once in the console, check the Terms of Service box in the welcome window and click Agree and Continue.
  6. Verify the Project ID provided in the Lab matches the Project ID in the console’s top bar.
If you complete a lab in your personal account instead of the student account provided with the lab, you or your company may be billed for your usage.
Always verify that you are completing the lab using your assigned Student Account and Project ID.
