Each week, leaderboards group you with similarly motivated competitors to play for rank and league status.
How do leaderboards work?
Leaderboards are made up of 30 randomly selected players on Cloud Skills Boost who are from the same league level. The higher your league status, the more fierce the competition!
Each leaderboard cycle lasts one week, starting from when the leaderboard was created, for players to earn points that will allow them to advance to the next league or be demoted to a lower league. Only points earned during the cycle of the current leaderboard count towards that week’s league rank. Each week, players will be added to a new leaderboard for the rank they earned the previous week and a fresh slate of zero points.
Current league status is displayed on the leaderboard tab of your profile, and in the navigation bar of Cloud Skills Boost.
Identity on leaderboards
Player name
Player names are randomly generated for each leaderboard, and cannot be changed by the player. Players receive a new name each leaderboard cycle.
Avatar
Each player has the ability to select an avatar to be used in the leaderboards. To select an avatar:
- Visit the leaderboard tab in your user profile
- Under the icon indicating your league level, click Select an avatar
- Click the your preferred icon to select it as your avatar
- Your change will auto-save
Visibility
Other players on your leaderboard will only see your selected avatar and an anonymized username on their leaderboards. They will not see your profile picture, nor your real name.
