Leagues are used to group players into different tiers based on player rank the previous week. There are currently four leagues: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond. Only points earned in an active leaderboard are used to determine rank.
You must remain out of the bottom six players each week to retain your league status.
Bronze
All players start in Bronze league their first week.
The top 10 players at the end of the week will begin the next week in the Silver League. Players who did not rank in the top 10 of their leaderboard will remain in Bronze the next week.
Silver
Once Silver is attained, players will be added to a leaderboard with other Silver league players. Read more about leaderboards. The top 10 points earners for that week's leaderboard will be promoted to Gold, and the bottom six players will return to Bronze to try again. Players who are not in the bottom six or top 10 will remain in the Silver league on the next week's leaderboard.
Gold
The top 10 players from each Silver league and players who retained their Gold status from the previous week will be added to Gold league leaderboards. Similar to the Bronze and Silver, the top 10 players after the week are promoted to Diamond, and the bottom six are returned to Silver.
Diamond
Players who rise through all the leagues and rank in the top 10 of their Gold leagues make it to Diamond. The competition is fierce, and the goal is stay out of the bottom six or go back to Gold.
What happens if I take a break from learning?
Players are not added to a new leaderboard until they've earned points once again after their previous leaderboard closes.
If a player needs to take a break from learning but doesn't want to lose league rank, simply don't earn points after the close of a leaderboard. Player rank will remain intact until points are earned once more. League progress is safe!
