Find, move & delete files with Quickoffice

We are no longer making Quickoffice available for download. To work with Microsoft® Office files, install the newest versions of the DocsSheets, and Slides apps from Google Play on your Android phone or tablet, or the Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps from the App Store for your iPhone or iPad. Find files in Quickoffice

You can use the Quickoffice file manager to search for files and folders. Touch the magnifying glass to search for files and folders by name, or touch a folder or cloud storage account name to view the files and folders stored in that location.

Move files and folders with Quickoffice

You can change a file’s location on your device, in your cloud account, or even move files to and from your cloud account with Quickoffice.

You can move files and folders from the Quickoffice file manager. This works a little differently depending on the device you are using, so select your device below to get started:

iPads and iPhones

iPad

  1. Touch the file/folder you wish to move until it "lifts" from the screen.
  2. Without removing your finger from your iPad's screen, drag the file/folder to the location you’d like to move it to.

Tips:

  • To access a subfolder, hover over the containing folder.
  • To move multiple files, use a separate finger to touch additional files and folders while the first file or folder is "lifted". This will make a bundle of files that you can now drag. For more help, view the working with multiple files video.

iPhone

  1. Navigate to the files/folders you wish to move.
  2. Touch the change folder icon.
  3. Select the files/folders you’d like to move using the round buttons, then touch Move.
  4. Navigate to the desired folder then touch Choose.

Note: Files moved between cloud storage and your device will be copied, not moved.

Android tablets and phones

Tablet

  1. Check the boxes for the files/folders you wish to move.
  2. Touch the manage files icon (clipboard) then Cut.
  3. Navigate to the desired location.
  4. Touch the manage files icon (clipboard) then Paste.

You can also touch and drag after you've selected files to move them to a new location. Hold over a folder to view any subfolders. Remove your finger from the screen, & Quickoffice will present options to copy, move, or cancel.

Phone

  1. Check the boxes for the files/folders you wish to move.
  2. Touch cut (the scissors icon) then navigate to the desired location.
  3. Touch paste (the clipboard icon).

Delete Files and Folders

You can delete files from the Quickoffice File Manager. All files deleted from your internal storage, sdcard, iPad, or iPhone are deleted permanently and cannot be recovered, so delete carefully.

Here's how to delete files/folders:

  1. Select the files/folders you’d like to delete.
  2. Touch the trashcan icon. If you're using an iPad or Android tablet, you can drag the files to the trashcan icon.
  3. Touch Delete to delete the files or Cancel to cancel the deletion.
