All dataset uploads into the Public Data Explorer must use the Dataset Publishing Language (DSPL), a data and metadata format that explicitly supports the rich, interactive visualizations shown in the product. In most cases, converting from other formats (CSVs, Excel spreadsheets, etc.) to DSPL is fairly straightforward.
