Creating search box using HTML form

Programmable Search Engine no longer supports using an iframe to host a custom search engine on your page. Although Google supports only the Programmable Search Engine element, you can still use a HTML form code to implement the search box on your site, like this:

<form id="cse-search-box" action="http://google.com/cse">
  <input type="hidden" name="cx" value="YOUR SEARCH ENGINE ID goes here" />
  <input type="hidden" name="ie" value="UTF-8" />
  <input type="text" name="q" size="31" />
  <input type="submit" name="sa" value="Search" />
</form>
<img src="http://www.google.com/cse/images/google_custom_search_smwide.gif">

Note: Replace the text YOUR SEARCH ENGINE ID goes here in the above example code with your actual search engine ID. (To find your search engine ID, click Setup, and then click Search engine ID on the Basics tab.)

The HTML form code is provided for your convenience only; Programmable Search Engine doesn't provide support on this issue. All free search engines must display Google branding.
