Programmable Search Engine Branding Guidelines

Search Results that are created using Programmable Search Engine may display “Enhanced by Google”. If the Search Box and Search Results are rendered through the Programmable Search Engine Search Element, then this will happen automatically. Users using their own search box or the Custom Search JSON API may add this attribution through the Programmable Search Attribution API. The attribution may only be used in the following locations.

  • Anywhere immediately adjacent to Search Results that rely on data from Programmable Search Engine
  • Anywhere immediately adjacent to a Search Box that will execute a search that produces a Search Result or Results that rely on data from Programmable Search Engine
  • A watermark inside a Search Box that will execute a search that produces a Search Result or Results that rely on data from Programmable Search Engine

The branding provided by the Search Element and the Programmable Search Attribution API are the only ways you are allowed to display Google Branding on your page, and you are only allowed to use the API to display the attribution as described here.
