Introducing Chrome OS M134 to The Stable Channel
Chromebook•3/18/2025
Hello Chromebook Community,
You should soon see an update on your device for ChromeOS M134! Here’s a list of new features and changes you’ll notice when you update to this new version of Chrome.
- Slow Keys
Slow Keys is an accessibility feature designed to assist individuals with limited dexterity in typing more accurately. This feature is particularly helpful for those who have conditions such as tremors, arthritis, or numbness in their fingertips, which can make it difficult to press keys with precision.Slow Keys works by introducing a delay, requiring keys to be held down for a set amount of time before they are registered. This will prevent unintended keystrokes from being pressed.
- GIFs with Quick Insert
Quick Insert will soon support direct GIF insertion! Quickly add GIFs to your messages and documents without leaving the Quick Insert menu. For more details, see Use Quick Insert to add & create content.
- Assistive experiences on Chromebooks are now powered by Gemini
Starting in M134, assistive experiences on Chromebooks will be powered by Gemini. When triggering Assistant, you will automatically be directed to the Gemini app on your Chromebook.
As always, please share any feedback you have by using the instructions here, and if you encounter any bugs or issues, please feel free to create a new thread on this forum!
Friendly Reminder: This update and the features associated with it, will be progressively rolling out over the coming days. Your device may not immediately be eligible for this update.

Google Chrome•3/3/2025
Hey Everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to help bring this to our attention.
Our team has investigated these reports and can confirm that we are seeing a larger than usual number of crashes on some LG devices on the latest Chrome and WebView stable version.
If you are using a Chrome version 133.0.6943.* build that is crashing, you will need to uninstall Chrome and/or WebView updates in order to return to an earlier version.
You can follow the steps below to resolve the behavior by returning to an earlier version of Chrome and/or WebView.
Important: The below steps will clear Chrome’s local data. Learn more about using Chrome Sync to share bookmarks, passwords, and other settings between Chrome installations.
Uninstall Chrome Updates, Then Update Again
- Open your device's Settings app. Tap Apps.
- Tap Chrome. If you don't see it, first tap See all apps or App info.
- In the 3-dot menu, tap Uninstall updates > OK.
- Open the Play Store and update Chrome.
If these steps do not fix the issue, uninstall Android System WebView updates then update again.
Uninstall Android System WebView Updates, Then Update Again
- Open your device's Settings app. Tap Apps.
- Tap Android System WebView. If you don't see it, first tap See all apps or App info.
- In the 3-dot menu, tap Uninstall updates > OK.

Hello Chromebook Community,
You should soon see an update on your device for ChromeOS M133! Here’s a list of new features and changes you’ll notice when you update to this new version of Chrome.
- Bounce Keys on ChromeOS
Bounce Keys is an accessibility feature designed to make computer use easier for individuals with limited dexterity or tremors. It works by ignoring repeated keystrokes within a short time interval, which you can customize to fit your needs. This prevents unintended characters being entered due to unintentional key presses.
- Enhanced Welcome Tour
New ChromeOS users are now greeted with a Welcome Tour immediately after device setup. Welcome Tour provides an interactive way for users to learn the basics and to get up and running on their new Chromebook quickly.
- Screencast language update
Screencast now supports over 50 languages. To use Screencast, press the Launcher icon and search for Screencast. You can find the list of languages in the Help Center article: Use the Screencast app to record and share on your ChromeOS devices.
- New toggle for Bluetooth mic Super Resolution
ChromeOS 133 adds a toggle to control Bluetooth mic Super Resolution. The toggle is added in the audio setting page and is only visible when the feature is supported and the selected input device is a Bluetooth headset.
