Hi Simon,

Ah, so if I understand you correctly, you want to embed the Calendar onto a webpage, and statically display the webpage on a screen?

I am not aware that there is an official way to do this, but these results seem promising:

Please let me know if any of those worked for you.

Hi Amit,

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.
You are:
- inviting external people (not Google accounts)
- without Video meeting option

But then you want to:
- send the invited people additional emails?
- send them links? (could you specify what links you want to send them?)

Anthony
Hi Dawn,

That's great to hear! :)

Anthony
Hey,

No problem. I did some searching and it seems that people have asked for this before:

You could see if Neil's suggestions in those threads help?

Anthony
Hi Simon,

If you have these resources on different calendars, you can simply tick their boxes on the left side of the GCal web page to display them all together.

Is this what you mean?
Anthony
Hi Amit,

it seems that you can just invite the other person like normal, using their Email address.

"Invite people who don't use Google Calendar
You can invite people who don't use Google Calendar to your event. Just follow the steps above and invite the person using their email address.

Your guests will receive an email invitation. They can let you know if they are going by clicking the Yes, No, or Maybe links in the email."

Could you give that a try?
Anthony
Hi Ralf,

Re your first issue about the events on 01.04.27 and 29.04.2027: GCal on Android/iOS devices only show events around 1 year before/after today's date. So that's why you cannot see them on your phone, but can see them on the website.

Re your second issue about the event in 03.09.2080 (wow---you are planning ahead! :D), can you try to create the event on the GCal website to see if that works?
Here's a link to that date: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/r/week/2080/9/3 . it's a Tuesday, btw ;)

Hi there,

That's a good question, it doesn't seem to explicitly state what will happen.
"Receive notifications for all day events on this calendar.
Opting into these notifications may alert and be visible to the calendar owner(s)"

However, I'd guess that changing your settings will *not* alter the owners'.

Is there a way you can coordinate with the Owner to see if settings on their side change when you change yours?

Anthony
Hi Dawn,

I don't have an iOS device to test this--but could you please check that when you are creating the event on your iPhone, that you are correctly saving the event into your Google account, and not on your iOS calendar? (I'm also not sure if the GCal app supports saving events to the iOS calendar, but please check this).
I ask this because the two events in your screenshot have a *slightly* different color--and that suggests they are placed in 2 different calendars.

Alternatively, you could try deleting the GCal app on your iPhone and reinstalling to see if that fixes the issue.

Hi FloB,

If you take a look at the link you posted, it notes--as you stated--that "When you import an event, guests and conference data for that event are not imported." I'd assume that includes the Google Meeting video links (conference data?) as well.

However, your questions appears to be a G Suite-specific question, so I would suggest you ask there as well--maybe they have a solution for this!

Best regards,
Anthony
Hi Christine,

das ist auf dem Handy (Android und iOS) leider nicht möglich. Allerdings kannst du auf der Webseite alle Termine sehen.

MfG
Anthony
Hi Bert,

Has this resolved itself in the meantime? I am able to access GCal fine. Sometimes there are short temporary glitches where access is lost (but usually fixes itself quickly).

Anthony
Hi Øyvind,

If you go into the Settings in the GCal app, and click "Holidays" under the "More" category, inside you can pick which holidays calendar you want to display.

Perhaps you had multiple ticked? (once in Norwegian and once in English?)

Let me know if if you need more clarification.
Anthony
Hi Tony,

Could you try using a different browser, to see if that lets you log in?
Let me know and we can troubleshoot further.

Anthony
Hi Greg,

If you go into the Settings in the GCal app, and click "Holidays" under the "More" category, inside you can pick which regions / countries you want to show holidays for.

Let me know if you need more clarification!
Anthony
Hi Sara,

Thanks for the detailed info you gave. Could you try uninstalling and reinstalling the GCal app, to see if that fixes it?

You can also try to "clear data" from the GCal app, and then manually click the re-sync button.

Anthony
Hi Margo,

Are you a G Suite user? If you are not, then unfortunately there is no way to see an edit log for events.

Hi there,

could you please post a screenshot sharing what you mean with "button at the bottom of the screen"?
I will look into this further with the others.

Thank you,
Anthony
Hi there,

As far as I know, there is no way to custom open .eml files in Gmail. Maybe you can contact SAP to see if they have a built-in previewer for it?

Anthony
Hi Joseph,

That's odd. Does the meeting have any special information/details stored inside? Do you have a lot of text in the Notes / description part of the event?

I would try to recreate the meeting, but not copy-pasting information, maybe hand-entering in details bit by bit and see if the incremental changes + invitations get saved.

Hi Edward,

as far as I know, there is no way to do this. I encourage you to submit feedback to GCal so they can consider it!

Anthony
Hi Kathryn,

Could you just import that calendar into its own calendar in your Gcal account, and then share that from within GCal?

Anthony
Hi DavidTIL,

For me there is an option in the Android GCal app to set the notification options for events, it's right under "Add location" in the event details page. Can you check if you have this option?

If not, please attach a screenshot and we'll troubleshoot more.

Thx!

Hi there,

Hmm, that's troubling.. Do you possibly have a backup of the events somewhere?
If they are not in the Trash and not visible in your Gcal anymore, I am not sure if there is a way to get them back otherwise..

If you open up the recurring events, do they still show the original start date of the events (as being some time from Apr-Oct 2018)?

Anthony
Hi K Boo,

Your question seems to be related to Google Sheets, so I would suggest that you post your question over at the Docs Editors forums: https://support.google.com/docs/community?hl=en

This will help us better keep track of the issues.

Thank you!

Hi Kathleen,

Good to hear that that fixed the problem!

Anthony
Hi Aleza Berube,

As the original thread is very old (it is from 2018), I would ask that you start a new thread with your question. This will help us better keep track of current issues.

Thank you!
Hi User 17748823439193198715 / Konstantin,

Could you please start a new thread and ask your question again there? So that we can better keep track of threads. Thanks!

Hi Zack and Kathleen, could you please try using a different computer to access GCal to see if this issue persists?

I would also suggest using incognito mode in your browsers to try.

Hi, when you say laptop does not sync with your phone, what do you mean? Are you accessing the Google calendar website with your laptop, or are you using another app to sync your calendar?

A
Hi richard

Please make sure that both phones are connected to the internet and sync is set up properly on both phones.

Can you verify that both phone 1 and phone 2 are syncing to Google calendar properly?

Thanks,
A
Hi Angela,

Thanks for the clarification. Then that does seem like maybe it changed on Google's side.
I would encourage you submit your feedback to Google officially by following these steps: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/6110973?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

Thanks!

Hi Linda,

No problem--glad to hear it works now! :)

Anthony
Hi all,

When you click the search button in GCal (the magnifying glass), make sure you click the downward-facing triangle in the search box too.

For me, when I enter the email address of a person, I also see results for events where they were the creator (organizer) of the event.

Anthony
Hi Firas,

The recipient should get 2 emails:
  1. The invitation email for your event (which is automatically accepted on their side)
  2. The 1-minute reminder email (since that is the setting on your side)
I don't think your 2-minute and 1-minute reminder settings from *your* account are applied to their side as well. These should only apply to your side (so you should get these 2 reminder emails)

Hi Chris,

huh, you're right. It doesn't seem to work. If I put the URL into a new browser window, I see that there are no events in my "Contacts" calendar either--even though I have contacts with birthdays!

I encourage you to send this feedback to Google so that it can be looked at.
You can send the feedback here:

  1. Go to your Google Calendar.
  2. Click on settings button Settings  in the top right
  3. Click Send Feedback.

Thanks!

Hi Elliott,

unfortunately there's no way to force a subscribed calendar to update.. this is a well-known issue for a while now unfortunately.

I suggest you submit feedback to Google so they know that people want this function:

Anthony
Hi Lisa,

If you mean the "Get shareable link" button in the calendar settings, then as long as your calendar is not set to Public, only people that you specifically allowed access to should be able to view your calendar.

Unfortunately there is not a way to change that link. You can only reset your private link (but this one, you should not share it with other people).

Anthony
Hi Duncan,

Could you try deleting this series of events using the web version of Google Calendar?

Anthony
Hi Jasmine,

I would contact your university about this. If your school calendar is not showing up on the web version either, then it probably means you have been unsubscribed from your school calendar. To re-find the calendar again and to re-subscribe would probably require you to contact the university (it probably has to be done on their side).

Anthony
Hi,

Typically this happens when the .ics file is corrupted or in an incorrect format. Could you please check if the ics file is properly formatted? You can try to open it on your computer with a calendar app, or with Outlook.

Anthony
Hi there,

Could you please elaborate? What do you mean by "Facebook page hang"?

Anthony
Hi Angela,

There is unfortunately not a 100% way to resolve this. The event details are automatically extracted by Gmail from your emails, either from a physical calendar event file (sometimes attached as ics files), from the text of the email, or from embedded information that is included in the emails.

This depends on the company that sends you the email (airlines, hotels, etc) and the burden is more on their side to make sure that it works..

You are also welcome to submit feedback to GCal about this: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/6110973?hl=en&ref_topic=3418057

Cheers,
Anthony
Hi Linda,

That should not be the case! I just tested, and it works for me. Can you try to see if you can find the place first on Google Maps, and then type the name of the place into the location box in calendar, to see if it shows up?

Hi Huy,

Do you have an app called "Yoga Studio" or "YogaStudio" that maybe installed this calendar? This is what the others are thinking could be the reason behind this.
