To use Fitbit products and services, you need an account. Create an account through the Fitbit app on compatible iPhones or Android phones.
Account requirements
- Google Account for new users.
- Current users can use their existing Fitbit account until May 19, 2026. After that users are required to have a Google Account to log in.
Fitbit app compatibility requirements
The Fitbit app works on most phones and tablets. To use your Fitbit device, download the app on a device with one of these systems:
- Apple iOS 16.4 or higher
- Android 11 or higher

Certain devices may experience compatibility issues even if they meet the requirements:
