Pointy for RainPOS

Pointy is available as a free download direct to your point of sale system for applicable POS integrations.

Download Pointy and scan your products as normal to add them to your product catalog and to your Google Business Profile. They will also have a better opportunity of showing up in product-related searches on Google.

An optional premium feature is ProductAds, where you can create ads for all your products in two clicks.

Note: In order for Pointy to work for your store, you must be using UPC/EAN barcodes on your products.

How to install Pointy

1. Input your your store hours in Rain by going to Settings > General Settings > Locations
2. Then, in Rain, go to Settings > Integrations > Channels > Pointy from Google > Sign Up
3.  Enter the following information:
   1. Owner name
   2. Owners email address
   3. Owners phone number
   4. Chose which location you would like to sign up to Pointy 
4. Click Sign Up

Existing Pointy Customers

1. If you are already using Pointy and wish to use the Rain integration please reach out to Pointy support at [e-mail].
2. The email should include your store name and address and a brief explanation of your query eg. ”I would like to connect my current Pointy account to the Rain Point of Sale."
3. The Pointy agent will associate your current Pointy page to the correct integration.
4. The pointy support agent will then give you your retailer key(s).
5. In Rain, go to Settings > Integrations > Channels > Pointy from Google > Connect Existing
6. Enter your retailer key in for each location you have in Rain, click Save.

1. I am already using a Pointy device. How do I switch over to using Pointy on my POS?

2. What information/data does Pointy receive when I connect it to my POS?

Pointy integrates with your POS by collecting all of your products' barcode numbers (UPC/EAN). We then find an image and description to match each one from our comprehensive database. This then goes on your Pointy Page.

To get the most out of Pointy, we need access to your POS inventory, stock levels and sales history (to estimate stock levels on your page). Your store's data is important to us and we ensure that it is protected at all times.

3. How do I access my Pointy account?

After you sign up to Pointy you will receive an email from us to create a login for your Pointy Page. Once you have created your login details, you can access your Pointy Page by going to https://www.pointy.com/login.

4. How much does Pointy cost for integrations?

The core Pointy service is completely free for integration POS users. The core service includes your Pointy Page, retailer dashboard, and access to SWIS.
