Pointy for Rx30 TDS 2.0

To successfully integrate with Pointy, your pharmacy needs to be operating on Build 21021103.

If you are not running this version on your POS please update before continuing.

 

New Pointy Pharmacies:

  1. The sign-up process for Pointy, if using TDS POS, will be located inside of the POS software.  
  2. Start from the TDS POS Sales Screen.
  3. Select Menu – System – System Configuration – System Settings.
  4. Select Interfaces.
  5. Select Create Account, under the Pointy section.
 
  1. Complete the following fields under the Pointy Sign Up section: 
    1. Store Name
    2. Address
    3. City/St/Zip
    4. Owner Name
    5. Owner Phone
    6. Store Email
    7. Store Phone
  2. Complete store hours.
    1. Complete ALL days. 
    2. Use Closed for days the pharmacy is not open.
 
  1. Select Sign Up to bring up the confirmation window.
  2. Select Ok once information has been double checked. 
    1. A ”Sign up successful!” message will appear.
    2. Contact Pointy if a ”duplicate store” message appears.
 
  1. Once the store is signed up, the Pointy configuration screen within the POS will change from a Sign Up option to an Enable Pointy option.
  2. Select Save Settings – Select Ok.

 

Transmitting Inventory and Sales to Pointy 

Start from the POS Sales Screen.

  1. Select items onto the Sales Screen.
  2. Process the Payment as normal.
  3. Once the sale is complete, the inventory and sales will be updated.

Current Pointy Pharmacies: 

  1. If you are already using Pointy and wish to use the Rx30 TDS 2.0  integration please reach out to Pointy support at support@pointy.com.
  2. The email should include your pharmacy name and address and a brief explanation of your query e.g. “I would like to connect my current Pointy account to the Rx30 TDS 2.0  integration”.
  3. The Pointy agent will associate your current Pointy page to the correct integration.
  4. The pointy support agent will then send you your retailer key via email.
  5. Start from the POS Sales Screen.
  6. Select Menu – System – System Configuration – System Settings.
  7. Select Interfaces.
 
  1. Select Existing Account, under the Pointy section.
 
  1. The Existing Pointy Account window will appear.
  2. Type the Retailer Key in the Retailer Key field, which will be provided by Pointy in an email.  
 
  1. Select Save - Save Settings - Ok.
  2. Once the store is signed up, the Pointy configuration screen within the POS will change from a Sign Up option to an Enable Pointy option.

 

Important:

Your POS might have a security setup which you need to reset to allow data flow.

  1. Go to Manage Network 
  2. Allow access to Pointy site in your Network Rules
