Pointy for PharmaTill

Pointy is available as a free download direct to your point of sale system for applicable POS integrations.

Download Pointy and scan your products as normal to add them to your product catalog and to your Google Business Profile. They will also have a better opportunity of showing up in product-related searches on Google.

An optional premium feature is ProductAds, where you can create ads for all your products in two clicks.

Note: In order for Pointy to work for your store, you must be using UPC/EAN barcodes on your products.

How to install Pointy

Getting started 

  1. Please click the following link to download the PharmaTill-Pointy program. http://www.pharmatill.co.uk/Pointy/PharmaTillPointy.zip 
  2. After downloading the file, please unzip (right click & extract) the file and save the folder in Desktop.

If you are signing up to Pointy for the first time please follow the below steps:

  1. Download the program as explained in the Getting Started section.

  2. Open the PharmatillPointy folder on the desktop. 

  3. Double click file  'PharmaTillPointy.exe'. 
  4. When the program is opened, click the 'Pharmacy' tab.
  5. Enter all the  pharmacy details:
    1. Address
    2. Owner's name
    3. Email address
    4. Opening  hours). 
  6. Click the Save button to register. 
  7. After successful registration, a message will appear on your screen saying 'Details  saved successfully. Data upload will start now.' 
  8. Click  the OK button.

 

If you are already using Pointy please follow the below steps: 

  1. Download the program as explained in the Getting Started section.
  2. Open the Pharmatill Pointy folder on the desktop. 
  3. Double click file  'PharmaTillPointy.exe'. 
  4. When Pointy is fully installed on your POS system you then must reach out to the Pointy support team at support@pointy.com to request your retailer key #.
  5. When you have successfully received your retailer key from Pointy customer support open the Pointy programme and click the 'Pharmacy' tab.
  6. Enter your retailer key into the space provided and click submit
  7. Next click the Save button to register.
  8. After successful registration, a message will appear on your screen saying 'Details  saved successfully. Data upload will start now.' 
  9. Click  the OK button.

FAQ

1. What information/data does Pointy receive when I connect it to my POS?

Pointy integrates with PharmaTill via a custom API (application programming interface). We then find an image and description to match each product from our comprehensive database. This then goes on your Pointy Page. To get the most out of Pointy, we need access to your POS inventory, stock levels and sales history (to estimate stock levels on your page). Your store's data is important to us and we ensure that it is protected at all times.

2. How do I access my Pointy account?

After you sign up to Pointy you will receive an email from us to create a login for your Pointy Page. Once you have created your login details, you can access your Pointy page by going to https://www.pointy.com/login.

3. How much does Pointy cost?

The core Pointy service is completely free for integration partner users. The core service includes your Pointy Page, retailer dashboard, and access to SWIS.
