Delete and manage activity on Google+

You can delete various activities in Google+. Here are some examples of things you can remove:

  • Posts you’ve shared
  • Comments you’ve made
  • Your +1’s on Google+
  • Your Hangouts On Air Event questions
  • Your Google+ Events
  • Poll votes
  • Blocks and mutes
  • Your +1 activity

Delete a post

Android app

  1. Open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. Tap the post that you want to delete.
  3. In the top right, tap More More.
  4. Tap Delete.
  5. Tap OK.

Mobile browser

  1. Open Google+.
  2. Tap the post that you want to delete.
  3. In the top right, tap More More.
  4. Tap Delete. You’ll see a confirmation message.
  5. Tap Delete again.

Delete a comment

Android app

  1. Open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. Tap the post you commented on.
  3. Tap the comment that you want to delete.
  4. Tap Delete comment.
  5. Tap OK.

Mobile browser

  1. Open Google+.
  2. Tap the post you commented on.
  3. Tap the comment that you want to delete.
  4. Tap Delete comment. You’ll see a confirmation message.
  5. Tap Delete.

Undo a +1

Android app

Undo a +1 on a post

  1. Open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. Find the post you +1’ed.
  3. Tap +1.

Undo a +1 on a comment

  1. Open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. Tap the post you commented on.
  3. Tap the comment you +1’ed.
  4. Tap Remove +1.

Mobile browser

Undo a +1 on a post

  1. Open Google+.
  2. Tap the post you +1’ed.
  3. Tap +1.

Undo a +1 on a comment

  1. Open Google+.
  2. Tap the post whose comment you +1’ed.
  3. Tap the comment you +1’ed.
  4. Tap Remove +1.

Delete certain items using the Activity Log

In the Activity Log, you can remove:

  • Posts you’ve shared
  • Comments you’ve made
  • Your +1’s on Google+
  • Your Hangouts On Air Event questions
  • Your Google+ Events
  • Poll votes
  • Blocks and mutes
  • Your +1 activity

Android app

  1. Open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. In the Navigation menu, tap Settings Settings.
  3. Under “Account settings,” tap the account whose activity you want to see.
  4. Tap Activity Log Restore.
  5. In the top left next to “Posts,” tap the Down arrow Down Arrow.
  6. Choose the type of activity you want to see.
  7. Tap the item.
  8. Choose whether to keep it or delete it.

Mobile browser

  1. Open Google+.
  2. In the Navigation menu, tap Settings Settings.
  3. Under “General,” tap Activity Log.
  4. In the top left next to “Posts,” tap the Down arrow Down Arrow.
  5. Choose the type of activity you want to see.
  6. Tap the X next to it.
  7. Choose whether to keep or delete it.

Keep in mind:

  • You might not see all the information about the activity you’ve selected. For example, if you made a post in a private community and you're no longer a member, you can still remove that post, but you might not see some information about it.
  • If you’re using a work or school account, you can see Events listed in the Activity Log, but you won’t be able to click or tap them to see the actual Events.
