Delete and manage activity on Google+

You can delete various activities in Google+. Here are some examples of things you can remove:

  • Posts you’ve shared
  • Comments you’ve made
  • Your +1’s on Google+
  • Your Hangouts On Air Event questions
  • Your Google+ Events
  • Poll votes
  • Blocks and mutes
  • Your +1 activity

Note: You can also delete your Google+ profile.

Delete a post

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. Tap the post that you want to delete.
  3. In the top right, tap More More.
  4. Tap Delete. You’ll see a confirmation message.
  5. Tap Delete again.

Delete a comment

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. Tap the post you commented on.
  3. Tap the comment.
  4. Tap Delete comment. You’ll see a confirmation message.
  5. Tap OK.

Undo a +1

Undo a +1 on a post

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. Find the post you +1’ed.
  3. Tap +1.

Undo a +1 on a comment

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. Tap the post you whose comment you +1’ed.
  3. Tap the comment.
  4. Tap Remove +1.

Delete certain items using the Activity Log

In the Activity Log, you can remove:

  • Posts you’ve shared
  • Comments you’ve made
  • Your +1’s on Google+
  • Your Hangouts On Air Event questions
  • Your Google+ Events
  • Poll votes
  • Blocks and mutes
  • Your +1 activity

To remove items:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google+ app Google Plus application.
  2. In the Navigation menu, tap Settings Settings.
  3. Tap Activity Log Restore.
  4. In the top left next to “Posts,” tap the Down arrow Down Arrow.
  5. Choose the type of activity you want to see.
  6. Tap the item.
  7. Choose whether to keep it or delete it.

Keep in mind:

  • You might not see all the information about the activity you’ve selected. For example, if you made a post in a private community and you're no longer a member, you can still remove that post, but you might not see some information about it.
