See photos you're tagged in

You and other people on Google+ can tag people in photos using name tags. If you approve a name tag, that tag will link to your Google+ profile and that photo will be added to the "Photos of you" section of your Google+ profile.

See photos you're tagged in

To review photos in which you were tagged, go to the "Photos of you" section of your Google+ profile. What happens when you approve or remove a tag:

  • Reject: the name tag will be removed from the photo.
  • Approve: the name tag will link to your profile and that photo will be added to the "Photos of you" section of your profile.
Android app
  1. Open the Photos app .
  2. At the top left, touch the menu icon .
  3. Select Photos of you.
  4. ​If you see an "Is this you?" section, then that means someone tagged you in a photo. (If you don't see this section, you don't have any photo tags to approve.) To approve or reject tags, touch the photo to open it, then:
    • Approve: Touch Yes
    • Reject: Touch No.
Computer
  1. Open Google+. Place your cursor in the top left corner for the Google+ main menu. Select Photos .
  2. Click More > Photos of you.
  3. ​If you see an "Is this you?" section, then that means someone tagged you in a photo. (If you don't see this section, you don't have any photo tags to approve.) To approve or reject tags:
    • Approve: Click the checkmark icon. 
    • Reject: Click X.
Mobile browser
  1. Go to plus.google.com.
  2. At the top left, touch the main menu icon  > Photos .
  3. At the top, touch the drop-down menu > Photos of you.
  4. ​If you see an "Is this you?" section, then that means someone tagged you in a photo. (If you don't see this section, you don't have any photo tags to approve.) To approve or reject tags, touch the photo to open it, then:
    • Approve: Touch Yes.
    • Reject: Touch No.
iOS app
  1. Open the Google+ app .
  2. Touch menu icon  in the top left and select Photos .
  3. Touch the drop down menu at the top and select Photos of you.
  4. ​If you see an "Is this you?" section, then that means someone tagged you in a photo. (If you don't see this section, you don't have any photo tags to approve.) To approve or reject tags, touch the photo to open it, then:
    • Reject: Touch No.
    • Approve: Touch Yes

Delete name tags linking to you

Android
  1. Touch the tagged photo to open it.
  2. Touch the face tag icon at the bottom >  trash icon on the black tag under your face.
Computer
  1. Click the photo to open it.
  2. To the right of the photo, place your cursor over your name > click X.
Mobile browser
  1. Touch the tagged photo to open it.
  2. At the bottom right, touch the face tag icon >  trash icon on the black tag under your face.
iOS app
  1. Touch the tagged photo to open it.
  2. Touch the face tag icon at the bottom >  trash icon on the black tag under your face.

Note: Deleting a name tag won't remove the photo from Google+, but it will remove the tag linking to your profile and prevent the photo from appearing on the "Photos of you" tab on your profile. Learn how to report an inappropriate photo that violates our User Content and Conduct Policy.

See who's tagged in a photo

Android
  1. Touch a photo to open it.
  2. Touch the face tag icon at the bottom. If you don't see the face tag icon, then no one is tagged in the photo.
Computer
  1. Click the photo to open it.
  2. To the right of the photo, above "Photo details," you'll see the names of anyone tagged.
Mobile browser
  1. Touch a photo to open it.
  2. At the bottom right, touch the face tag icon. If you don't see the face tag icon, then no one is tagged in the photo.
iOS app
  1. Touch a photo to open it.
  2. At the bottom, touch the face tag icon. If you don't see the face tag icon, then no one is tagged in the photo.

Allow or prevent automatic approval of name tags (Computer only)

You can choose to allow name tags from certain people to be automatically approved. For people outside of this setting, you can still approve or reject new name tags linking to your profile.

  1. Go to your Google+ Settings
  2. Scroll down to the "Photos and Videos" section.
  3. Under "People whose tags of you are automatically approved to be added to the 'Photos of you' section of your profile," choose the circles and people whose tags you want automatically approved. To not allow any automatic approval, leave this box blank.
