Since the latest Android update (earlier today) my Pixel 3a has been stuck on the G screen. It's been that way for several hours. I've now tried restarting and the same thing happens. It's permanently stuck on the G screen. I'm wondering if I need to factor reset? If so how do I do this from the G screen?

Thanks Penny. The reset seemed to fix the issue.

I'm having the same problem, I think. My home screen flashes and says "Pixel launcher fail". Restarting doesn't help. Is factory reset the only option?

Hi Tamsin.  I'm pleased factory resetting has fixed the problem for you and thank you for posting back to let us know all is now well.

Hi User 109xxxxxx.  I'm sorry but I can't say whether or not factory resetting will solve your problem as it did for Tamsin but if nothing else works, such as restarting by holding down the power button until the device restarts, then there is nothing else to try.  You could speak with a Google Support agent using another device and the Contact Us link at the bottom of any of the Pixel Help Centre pages but you will very likely be asked to factory reset anyway.

Sorry not to be more positive.

Regards, Penny
