No 5G connection with Google Pixel 5
How is that possible? Is there a solution?

The device wasnt released in Switzerland so its possible the carriers are not supporting that device on their 5G networks. You will need to contact them for more help

The fact is:
1. Why google will spend money for your problems? Their aim to launch this phone is to earn money from you not spend it.
2. If you really want to enjoy 5G service in early stage, use apple, samsung or other popular devices. These companies have much efficient teams and they have already finished testing actually sometimes prior to the launch of 5G in your country. And they truly care about your product experience coz they earn most of their revenue from cell phones they sell. And they are well established
3. Google mainstream business is not a pixel phone, you might have noticed the kind of support in last few years they have and innovation where all other mainstream phones support 512GB storage as a trend while google is still on 128GB claiming they have best camera phone making u fool in a game like best camera but less storage... It leads to new business which is "buy more storage" and google photos will no longer support free storage of photos, it is clear what they are planning. You will end up paying more money if u buy a pixel phone.
4. If you had to buy pixel 5 phone why did not read details on google website before where it's launched which means those countries carriers have successful tests and all agreements done. Don't make this stupid mistake again before buying a costly phone.

The 5G is locked in the device and it can be easily seen through that #*#" code u can google it, NR flag is not active. The certification of device is a joint process between google and operator and if testing is successful the OTA will be released to activate NR. However the worst thing is that there is no timeline or even a clue whether there is any plan of finishing the certification process in other country operators where it's not launched.
They also did not give clear information on their website. They should have clearly mentioned that 5G will only work in the launched countries instead of making a story that understand the 5G network..
What a waste of money buying this phone having a 5G chipset inside but can't use it.
